ABOUT ANALEE VINYARD
BIOGRAPHY
At the age of 15, Analee’s life changed drastically. Her beloved mother, Alma, died giving birth to her little brother. Analee and her siblings were uprooted from their home in Saltillo Mexico, forced to live with their maternal grandparents in the United States.
Living now in a very controlling environment, Analee, like her mother before her, was forbidden to spend time with a boy she’d met in school—her high school sweetheart—and promised to another man in an arranged marriage. “This is what’s best for you,” her grandfather said. “You will marry the man we’ve chosen.”
Her childhood dreams of a beautiful wedding day, dress, ceremony and celebration out the window, Analee, like her mother before her, was now trapped in a loveless marriage. Back in Mexico, physician malpractice—in the same hospital where Analee’s mother started slipping away—caused the death of her first child. The neglect of her husband and the growing vitriol of his family towards her took a terrible toll on Analee, physically, emotionally and spiritually. For years, the pain and suffering mounted. There seemed to be no light at the end of the tunnel.
Analee turned to her faith—she turned to Jesus—to survive.
"… he will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning nor crying nor pain any more, for the former things have passed away. He who sits on the throne says, ‘Behold I make all things new.’” (Rev. 21:4-5)
Analee’s story is one of faith’s triumph over tragedy, the sufficiency of God’s grace and strength in our weakness, and the discovery of the overwhelmingly tender love of our God. When Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith enters in, tragedy, grief and brokenness will not have the last word.
Today, remarried and enjoying a happy and stable marriage and home, Analee embraces the legacy of her mother Alma, following in her footsteps, ministering encouragement and hope to others.
Analee, her husband Joel and their children reside in Texas.
