Cooking with Love

My mother's legacy,

served at the table

My mother planted the love of the kitchen in my heart at a very early age. Today that love is ministry: a place where food opens space for healing, teaching, and community.

I have always been inspired by my mom. She was an amazing woman, and I'm proud to carry on the artistry and love she brought to everything she created in the kitchen. I cook and bake because some of my sweetest memories of her were made there. As a young woman, I spent hours improving my recipes, dreaming that if my dishes could become as delicious as hers, somehow she might come back and spend one more holiday with me. Of course, cooking couldn't bring my mom back — but it gave me a beautiful way to keep her memory, her love, and her legacy alive.

That legacy eventually inspired me to create my cookbook, Cooking With Love: Savoring A Legacy of Love. It's filled with recipes I love, but it's about much more than food. It's my way of sharing with others what my mother first shared with me: that preparing something with love and gathering people around a table can create moments of connection, conversation, encouragement, and healing.
